WOW!! We gotta get out there. So beautiful. You know that picture of the Long Horn steer, I sat on one and had my picture taken in Lukenbach! Jim was so shocked I got on it. There was only 1 beer involved!
Love reading your adventures ~ Vicki

Hi guys! Looks like you are having a great time.
We're doing well. We've had our "almost" 6 year old grandson from Kansas since May 20. He'll go home next weekend. I must say, he's a great little guy, good, and fun, but boy I know why God made it so we had these babies when we were young!
We've taken him in the RV to Des Moines to see his other Grandma and to Branson for a few days. Today we did the Arch and Magic House in St. Louis. He's now at his Aunt Jen's for the weekend. Enjoying the peace and quiet with a nice glass of wine!
Oh, yeah, we started doing some geocaching with him. What fun.
Miss all our Texas buddies. Take care and safe travels ~ Hugs ~ Jim & Vicki

Ed & Carol: Just checked out our web page. Very nice. Will put you in "favorites" and check up on you often. Missing everyone, but do envy you "full timers" you don't have to come "home" and unpack the RV!
I was looking at you 2010 itenary and if you're in the St. Louis area when you're in MO please give us a shout. Here's our land line (we have terrible receiption on our cell at home) 636-639-1168.
Safe travels, looking forward to seeing you both next winter.
Hugs~Vicki
PS: Carol, we're enjoying your book on tape. Also, we ate at a Ted' Montana restaurant in KC last weekend (Ted Turner) Yummy bison rib eye!

The Archway was a great stop for me. They had a different approach to learning about history. You are given headsets so you can walk at your own pace. The people were really nice and the food was great. I would recommend this stop for anyone.
I also hear that they are having a Native American Pow Wow on June 20, 2009 and I can't wait to go to that.

Dead Horse Ranch is undoubtedly one of my favorite places. There are so many places to go and things to do within a 30 munite drive (most are less): Red Rock State Park, Jerome "ghost town" and the state historic park there,Fort Verde State Park, Slide Rock State Park near Sedona in the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, Mingus Mountain Recreation Area and even more. Ask a ranger at Dead Horse Ranch (it could be me).
Plan to spend some time on your next visit.
